Managing an active contract
Finding a contract, reading its details, and downloading the signed agreement.

Everything you have signed lives under Contracts in the sidebar — active, expiring, expired and cancelled alike.
Opening a contract
- Select Contracts from the sidebar.
- Find the VSA number. Double-click the row, or choose View from the action menu (⋮).
What the record shows
- Start and end dates — the term as signed.
- Status — see below.
- Total valuation and max payout — the contract’s totals, which move if assets are added or removed.
- Asset information — every asset covered, with its individual figures.
- Contract file — the signed agreement, downloadable as a PDF.
- Amendment history — a timeline of every change made since signing.
Download the signed PDF once and keep it with your credit file. It is the document that matters, and having it to hand is easier than coming back for it later.
Contract statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending signature | Sent for signature and not yet fully signed. See Signing your contract. |
| Active | Fully signed and in force. |
| Expiring | Active, and within thirty days of its end date. Still fully in force. |
| Expired | The end date passed without a renewal. |
| Cancelled | Ended early at your request. |
Expiring is a prompt rather than a change in cover. It exists so a renewal decision surfaces with a month to make it in.
What you can do from here
All of these are on the action menu (⋮) and each opens a short guided form:
- Add Assets — extend cover to collateral added to the loan.
- Remove Assets — take assets off a live contract.
- Apply for Renewal — available in the final thirty days.
- Request Cancellation — end cover early.

The amendment timeline
Every change to a contract is recorded against it: what changed, when, and what it did to the totals. Open the amendment history from the contract record.
This is the thing to look at when the current totals do not match what you remember signing. It will tell you which amendment moved them.
Finding things
The contracts table can be searched and sorted, and it holds everything rather than just what is live. If you are looking for an expired contract from last year to check what was covered, it is here.
